What does my insurance cover?
We handle the insurance process on your behalf and work with most major insurance providers to make menopause care as affordable as possible.
For patients choosing to use insurance, your visits with our licensed providers are typically covered — though you may be responsible for standard cost-sharing such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
If you’re prescribed hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or other medications, coverage depends on your individual plan. Our team will help you navigate options and, if needed, offer you with affordable alternatives.

What if I don’t have insurance?
No problem — you can still access high-quality menopause care through Shapely.
We offer a self-pay option for $125 per visit. There’s no ongoing membership or subscription required. You’ll receive one-on-one video visits with a licensed provider, a personalized treatment plan, and prescriptions to treat your symptoms (if appropriate).

Will I need labs as a Shapely patient?
In some cases, labs may be helpful to guide your treatment — for example, to check hormone levels or rule out other conditions. If your provider recommends labs, we’ll order them for you and explain what’s being tested.
Labs are usually covered by insurance, though a co-pay may apply. If you don’t have insurance, we’ve partnered with Quest Diagnostics to offer comprehensive lab testing for as low as $50 (available for all patients except those in New York).

Can I get HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy)?
Many people experiencing menopause and perimenopause symptoms are good candidates for hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and it can be a highly effective option for managing hot flashes, sleep issues, mood changes, and more.
At Shapely, your licensed provider will review your medical history, symptoms, and preferences to determine if HRT is right for you. If it’s a good fit, we’ll prescribe a personalized treatment plan and help coordinate access through your local pharmacy. If HRT isn’t recommended, we’ll explore non-hormonal options that can still offer real relief.
